Altydgedacht Wine Estate is situated in the hills of the Tygerberg valley, near Durbanville. The cellar dates from the early 1700′s, and is one of the oldest functioning wine cellars that is left in the country. The Estate provide facilities for small functions in an old barrel room in the cellar, as well as picnics under the trees on selected Sundays.

Altydgedacht Wine Estate is a historic farm that was established in 1698 on the fertile slopes of the Tygerberg Valley. The Estate has been in the Parker family since 1852, and the family produces wines of distinctive, strong varietal flavour. The Estate offers facilities for small functions and picnics.
Functions:
- Functions – small functions of between 15 and 50 people; old barrel room in the cellar; children parties, birthday parties, hen parties, poetry evenings, and more.
- Picnics – on selected Sundays between 12:00 and 17:00; also private picnics for groups between 15 and 40; picnic baskets; pony rides for kids.
- Harvest Festival – homemade breads, cheeses, preserves, salads, desserts and more; grape stomping and mos drinking activities.
- Pampoenkraal – specialises in Weddings and Private Functions; main lapa seats a maximum of 200 people; under ancient oak trees.
